- Foster a single way of thought within their ranks.
Influencers/Livestreamers will occasionally
- Use YouTube copyright tools to takedown other people’s videos they don’t like.
- Ban community members for speaking truths that are uncomfortable
- Ostracize banned (ex-communicated) members and punish remaining members from mentioning or interacting.
- Act bigoted towards differing opinions
Conclusion
This is an observation I’ve made, but I think it applies to more than just streamers. I think this is every community ever. I think this is human psychology that exists in all groups. Humans are strange.
