I’m cold

Written on Sat Nov 30 2019 @ 6:25 AM PST

It’s 64 degrees Fahrenheit in my apartment. I’m cranking my heater! And wrapping myself in my blanket as I sit here at the computer.

I got up at 6AM because that’s when my alarm goes off. The sun isn’t even up yet. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t.

I had some ideas for the Christmas party that I thought I should jot down.

My jepurdee game is going to be really nice if I can finish it in time. I should have no problem as long as I make a strong effort to do so. I have 26 days until Christmas after all.

So my ideas come from playing Jackbox games at K’s house on thanksgiving. The players should be able to join the game at any time. This is because players may get disconnected, may accidentally close the browser page or their phone may restart for some reason. If their battery dies for example, they should have no issue getting back into the game.

The way jackbox games does it is they have a short URL at the top right of the screen. At any point, new players can visit that URL and enter a unique 4 digit code displayed below the URL. Jackbox games doesn’t use QR codes for some reason. Perhaps because only nerds have QR code scanners in the USA. From K. I learned that Snapchat actually has a QR code scanner built in, but it doesn’t allow the player to open the web page in their browser of choice. It simply opens the link in Snapchat’s web browser which has certain limitations such as not staying open should the player open a different app temporarily.

The other idea I had was that I should have battery chargers available for the players. At K’s house, B and K’s phone ran out of juice. I will bring my battery backup and a wall charger to have available for the players.

The third idea I had has been jostling around in my head for a few days. I think the idea was originally K’s, but the idea is to give monopoly money to the players at the end of the jepurdee game, in the amount equivalent to the amount they earned during the game. With the money, they are able to buy stocking stuffer type gifts.

One of the gifts they can buy is a shot at Punch-A-Present. Punch-A-Present is a game I learned about from K. You basically punch out a thin membrane of a box which contains a mystery gift within. Maybe $500 monopoly money buys you a go at Punch-A-Present!

What sort of gifts should I put in Punch-A-Present? I’m thinking some of them should be pranks. Like those fun squishy stressballs which at first feel, may trick the player into thinking they are spoiled food or something. LOL that could be pretty funny.

Ooo, that reminds me of a game show I watched at Kumoricon. The players had to feel an item in a box that only the audience could see. Their goal was to correctly guess the item in the box. The hosts put things in there like squishy toy centipedes and fake toy grapes. The looks on the player’s faces were priceless.

Oh hey I just realized I gotta take out the trash this morning. So it’s a good thing I woke up early.

I must be getting stronger since I don’t feel particularly sore today. I’m surprised because yesterday I lifted quite a lot of garden bricks. I did limit my time doing so to about 2 hours, so that probably helped keep me feeling fine.

I dunno what to talk about now.

I’ll talk about kanata-nyan! N. likes cute girls so I shared this with her. She wanted to know where to buy such adorable things. I don’t know where. I simply saw this tweet shared via the VOCALOID discord and re-shared it with N. So now I have to fin out where to acquire such cute dolls. @Negimeister on Discord said they think it’s a MMD based on a minor character Kanata Kanoe in Love-Live. So I have that to go on now.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not planning on buying this doll! To do so would be cheating on Miku! Actually, I should probably post Miku pictures now. There’s no way I can feel good about posting about other girls without posting about my girl!

I just spent way too much time looking for that kanata kanoe doll. I don’t think I’ll find it by searching using english text. I think I’ll go ahead and drop this endeavor and focus on something else.

But first… Miku gallery time! I have TB and TB of Miku media. I really need another HDD to fill up because my first two are full, and now I’ve resorted to filling up my laptop’s SSD. I just gotta provide value to people in exchange for cash and I should be able to pull myself out of poverty and be able to afford nice things again!

But then again, I don’t want to weigh myself down with things. I want to live out of a really nice car instead of paying rent. I have to keep that in mind as I move forward. Maybe the thing I should do is rent rackspace. I have wanted to make a Filecoin miner for the longest time. I could do that and it double as my personal file server. That way, I have media on disks I own, it’ll have fast internet, and I’ll have a monetization method (filecoin.)

Hmm, the WordPress Gutenberg image gallery only seems to let me upload two images via drag and drop. Maybe it’s a bug. Just a side note.

I could literally spend all day uploading Miku images, and still not be done uploading what I have. Above is a small sample and I hope you enjoy them!

I’m hungry. Maybe that’s why I woke up so early. The past few days I’ve been getting off my early rise sleep schedule, and haven’t felt too good about it. Today is refreshing because I literally could not get back to sleep after shutting off my alarm.

Ey, it’s 7:27 now! I guess I should take the trash out. But does the trash come today on Saturday, or will it wait until Monday? I’m always confused by the trash collection schedule due to holidays.

Eyy, I found a link in my browser history which looks promising. https://www.wm.com/us/en/user/login?action=getHolidayScheduleData

Oh, it requires an account. I don’t have access to this account since it’s my parent’s account.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Ooo, you know what I missed? The Tesla Model Y unveil. Dunno how I missed it, but I did.

If I had the option of choosing a Model 3 or a Y, I would take the 3. Crossovers are dumb. Crossover electric cards are dumber. I mean, an EV is more efficient, so a large car would be fine.

I’d rather get a Cybertruck than a Model Y.

If the bank will give me the loan, I’m going to get a Model 3. I’ll keep it until I can get a Cybertruck, which would be a more ideal vehicle to live out of.

The Model 3 by the way, has a large trunk space. The rear seat can fold down and creates enough room to lay down in. So I’m thinking heavy tint, and itasha wrap! Or maybe not… Dunno if I would want to attract people to take photos of a car I live out of! Might just keep it low key. At least a Miku sticker though!

Maybe I did catch the model Y unveil. It seems familiar. Maybe I’m just used to Elon presenting things.

I’m looking forward to the Cybertruck. I hope Tesla gets a second chance at wowing the audience with it’s toughness. I think they usually do another event at release, so I would like to see the original suite of live tests they planned on doing. I heard there was a plan to take a chainsaw to the front of the vehicle. I don’t know if it was the glass or the metal, but that would be impressive.

It makes sense, since there seemed to be a large protective glass shield on wheels ready to be rolled into place between the Cybertruck and the audience.

Just look at that body line! So futuristic! It really reminds me of the Warthog from Halo. I’m not alone in that comparison. I’ve seen a few mashups.

But this next render is the best I have seen so far.

SO BADASS!

I think I’ll make food next… No wait, I should take the trash out first.

But before that, I need to write 3 things I’m grateful for.

I’m grateful for Elon Musk and the companies he started. Firstly, Paypal. As much as I dislike Paypal, I have got a lot of use out of it. Then SpaceX, for bringing me so much entertainment and excitement for the future.

Finally, Tesla Motors, for the inspiration, the sustainable energy aspects, and the hope that I can someday have one of their amazing cars for myself.

I’m grateful for Richard Stallman. His ideology is quite extreme, but enough of it has influenced me to the point where I consider free software a very important part of my life. I could write a whole blog post on this subject alone but I’ll save it for another time.

Finally, I’m grateful for thermal underwear. Random item, I know. It’s true though! I’m about to go outside in 24 degree (F) weather, and I want to be comfortable doing so!

And that’s enough for today. Later mateys!
